According to Hiroshi Tamura, chief product specialist for the new Nissan Z, they created this engine to deliver a more powerful and agile Z series. They have pushed their limit to improve their product through the new Z model. The goal is to create a car that can be one with the driver on the road.
How Did They Do That?
Nissan uses a unique approach to improve the new Z engine. To add more horsepower and torque, and also give a sharper response, they use a small-diameter turbocharger. Furthermore, Nissan also installs a turbo speed sensor component to ensure that the turbo technology in this engine works optimally. This sensor also makes the engine produce maximum results.
As for the sharper response, Nissan adjusts the e-VVT component in this model. They adjust the valve timing to match the engine performance. It doesn't only improve its response, but also creates better fuel efficiency. It is not wrong to say that the 2023 Nissan Z engine is the core of this model.
